2021-2022和2022-2023 FAFSA周期

Fill out the FAFSA right from your phone -- the FAFSA mobile app (myStudent援助) is now available! You may download the myStudent援助 app from both the Apple App Store (iOS) 和 Google Play (Android). The myStudent援助 mobile app provides the following features:

• myFAFSA: Complete the FAFSA safely 和 securely from your mobile device

2021-2022

The 2021-2022 FAFSA cycle began on October 1, 2020. The application is available until June 30, 2022. The income information needed to complete the FAFSA can be found on your 2019 tax return. The IRS DRT (Data Retrieval Tool) is available for the 2021-22 FAFSA cycle. Tax return information transferred from the IRS into the FAFSA now has stronger security 和 privacy protections.

• Instead of the user’s tax information being displayed, the phrase “Transferred from the IRS” appears in the appropriate fields on the FAFSA.

2022-2023

The 2022-23 FAFSA cycle will begin on October 1, 2021. Please consider using the "myStudent 援助" app (the FAFSA mobile app) to complete or renew your FAFSA. The income needed to complete the FAFSA can be found on your 2020 tax return.

The Department of Education 和 the Internal Revenue Service have partnered together so that students 和 families can retrieve their tax data directly from the IRS when completing the FAFSA.

We recommend you utilize the IRS Data Retrieval Process.  如果您被选中进行验证, in many cases you will not have to submit copies of tax transcripts before your financial aid eligibility is finalized.

IRS数据检索技巧

When using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool you must enter your name 和 address EXACTLY (upper/lower case) as it appears on your tax return. The USPS may have updated your address to be postal compliant (ie. 街将更新为ST).

• The following applicants will not be able to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool:
• Applicant or parent of a dependent student who filed an extension to file for tax year 2015 和 have not filed as of October 15, 2016.
• A married independent applicant 和 spouse who filed separate tax returns.
• 父母 of a dependent student who filed separate tax returns.
• An applicant or applicant’s parent who had a change in marital status after December 31, 2014.
• 未婚父母同居.

2021-2022年继续

2021- 2022援助年度将继续, the 金融援助 Office will not be sending paper 金融援助 Notifications (FANs) to upper-class continuing 和 readmitted students.

Students will receive an email in mid-late June when their 金融援助 Package is available for review via myCU. Depending on the types of aid in the 金融援助 Package, a student may need to take further action before the package is finalized.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  If the financial aid package includes Federal Direct 贷款 和/or a Clarkson Loan, the 贷款 will not be processed until the student has either Accepted, 拒绝, or Reduced the loan(s) 和 submitted the response online in the 金融援助 section of myCU. 贷款 offered, but not accepted, will not appear as anticipated aid on the student account.

You will receive an email notification when the initial package is created 和 each time a revision is made to the package.
